Jason Haigh-Ellery, Gary Russell and Nicholas Briggs) and BBC
WORLDWIDE welcome

The series of
audioplays have reinvigorated the DOCTOR WHO brand, laying dormant since
the McGann TV movie. The depth of content and quality of delivery has been measured
and evocative.

to produce DOCTOR
WHO CLASSIC SERIES related stories until late 2008.

JULY 2005 | SIXTH DOCTOR | THICKER THAN WATER |
 |
 |

|
 |
Colin
Baker and Maggie Stables are joined by Bonnie Langford for an early September
2005 release, DOCTOR
WHO THICKER THAN WATER by
Paul Sutton (and directed by Edward Salt).
Three years after Világ was all but laid waste by the
Killorans, the Doctor is back alongside a different companion. And a lot has
changed.
Now elected Principle Triumvir, head of a tripartite government,
Rossiter is working to secure a peaceful future for the planet by researching
the technology the Killorans left behind. But he has to contend with opposition
from his daughter, Sofia, who heads a public campaign demanding the destruction
of all alien artifacts.
Politics has caused a rift between father and daughter, and as
if that weren't enough, Sofia doesn't approve of her new step-mother either.
Emotions soon boil over into violence, a violence that seems to have gripped
the entire city.
Friendships bind people close, but they say that blood is...

EIGHTH DOCTOR | SCARDEY CAT |
 |
 |

|
 |
Paul
McGann, India Fisher and Conrad Westmass return to DOCTOR
WHO in
Will Shindler's, SCARDEY
CAT.
"Yaranaa - it means literally, 'the soul of the vengeful' - those
whose lives have been cut short early and died with empty hearts"
Millennia ago, the people of the planet Caludaar pledged never to set foot
on their sister planet Endarra. But what secrets does the planet hold? There
are laws even the Doctor won't break.
And while C'rizz learns that some tragedies can't be averted, Charley must
decide who the enemy actually is. For death walks on Endarra, and this time she
won't be denied.

MAY 2005 | FIFTH DOCTOR | THE COUNCIL OF NICAEA |
 |
 |

|
 |
Peter
Davison, Nicola Bryant and Caroline Morris return to DOCTOR
WHO in
Caroline Symcox's, THE COUNCIL OF
NICAEA.
The year is 325AD. In the city of Nicaea, the first great Church
council, called by the Roman Emperor Constantine, is due to begin. Here theology,
philosophy and politics will be brought together for millennia to come.
The Doctor, Peri and Erimem are there simply to watch events
unfold. Gaps remain in the history books, and the Doctor has come to satisfy
his curiosity.
But none of them are ready for what greets them in Nicaea. Intrigue
within the Imperial Palace has become violence on the streets. Mobs roam the
alleyways and blood is spilt in the name of faith. Even in the face of murder
and injustice though, the time travellers must force themselves to
stay aloof. This is history, after all.
Yet what is history to one person is the future to another.
Is it possible for history to be rewritten? And if it can, can
the Doctor afford to let it?

APRIL 2005 | FIFTH DOCTOR + SEVENTH DOCTOR | NEW COVERS |
 |
 |

|
 |
As first
seen in DWM, the two covers for the forthcoming BIG
FINISH releases.
Peter Davison and Nicola Bryant return in DOCTOR
WHO - THREE'S A CROWD. Let's
hope that Erimen get's the chop!
Sylvester McCoy and Bonnie Langford return with the intriguing, DOCTOR
WHO - UNREGENERATE! Fascinating..
Having listened to the last two (wholly boring) releases, THE
GAME and DREAMTIME,
it seems that BIG FINISH has lost its way and needs a couple of jump leads to
provide a spark of creativity. The company has successfully craved a niche but
both a change in personnel (or perhaps not a change in personnel could be problem?)
and the NEW TV SERIES makes their worthy efforts look a tad weary. |

MARCH 2005 | SEVENTH DOCTOR | DREAMTIME |
 |
 |

|
 |
Release
at the end of this month, Sylvester McCoy return to BIG
FINISH Simon Foward's
THE DREAMTIME.
The Dreamtime is living Time. The Dreaming is living myth.
A city travels the stars, inhabited by stone ghosts. At its heart, an ancient
remembrance of Earth. Mythical creatures stalk the streets and alien visitors
have come in search of trade. But there is nothing to trade. There is only fear.
And death. And the stone ghosts.
For Hex's first trip in the TARDIS, it's about the strangest place he could
have imagined. Weird and very far from wonderful. Adjustment to his new life
could prove tough. But he will have to adjust and do more, just to stay alive,
and Ace will have to be his guide theough this lost city of shadows and predatory
dreams. And the Doctor is the first to go missing.
The Doctor has crossed into the Dreamtime. This story takes place after SURVIVAL.

MARCH 2005 | UNIT | UPDATE |
 |
 |
 |
 |
The second in the four (and half) volume
series, UNIT is currently on release. Written by Jonathan Clements
and directed by John Ainsworth, SNAKEHEAD, unfortunately, does not feature Nicholas
Courtney as the Brigadier.
A mobile phone call to the emergency services, a body found on Government
land and an ancient burial site unearthed at an archaeological dig all point
toward an odd mystery by the coast.
UNIT's new commander, Colonel Robert Dalton, and its political officer, Colonel
Emily Chaudhry, investigate strange goings-on in Southend. What is out there
on the beach? What happened to the recently found savaged body? And what of the
man who's just been smuggled in to the country?
Is this just a simple case for the local police or, as Chaudhry suspects,
is there more to it than meets the eye.?

 |
 |

GAME.
Six-parter from BIG FINISH. Each segment is only 20 minutes long - which makes
a change.

WHO companions from 1963, William
Russell (played Ian Chesterton opposite William Hartnell's Doctor), Christopher
Ellison (THE BILL) and British
Sports-caster, Jonathan Pearce. |

FEBRUARY 2005 | GALLIFREY SERIES TWO |
 |
 |

|
 |
The second series (volumes
5 to 9) of GALLIFREY are set to be released from April 2005, and once again stars
Lalla Ward and Louise Jameson as Romana and Leela respectively. In addition,

The first volume of this series, LIES is
written/directed by Gary Russell. Followed by SPIRIT, PANDORA, INSURGENCY and
finally IMPERIATRIX.
Some time has passed
since the events of the Timonic Fusion Device theeatened Romana's presidency
with impeachment, and life has calmed down on Gallifrey. Well, apart from Romana's
latest scheme, the opening up of Gallifrey's famed Academy to the students of
alien races with the ability, or the potential, to harness temporal powers.
Unfortunately, deep below the Capitol, Leela, confused and morose
over the truth about her husband Andred, disturbs a malevolent power. Something
from the Dark Days of Ancient Gallifrey.
Something that wants to be reborn and will use any and every
means that is at hand. Including the past of Gallifrey's incumbent President.
